Coconut Tree Hill

This is the longer of the two walks from our gate, and the one the family drive guests to when the road is too hot for it.

Getting there

One point seven kilometres from the gate, about twenty-one minutes on foot, and the family will run you up in the tuk-tuk if you would rather not walk it in the heat — they did that for a guest in August. It is private land. Carry your rubbish back down.

They even kindly offered us a ride to Coconut Tree Hill, which we really appreciated!

The path to the beach

The other walk goes to the beach, and it is the one guests write about.

There is a short cut, and it is the reason the beach is seven minutes away rather than fifteen. It runs past the river instead of along the road. Guests see monkeys on it in the mornings, often. One guest walking the river path in January was lucky enough to spot a water monitor.

There is a short-cut way to Mirissa beach (and you can even see monkeys there!), probably a 5-10 minute walk

During the day, you can take a beautiful path along the river. We were even lucky enough to spot a water monitor there.
