Getting here from the airport
Colombo Bandaranaike (CMB) is 165 km from the gate, most of it on the E01 southern expressway. It takes two and a half to three and a half hours.
The car we arrange
One driver, straight to the door. Tell us your flight number and he will be at arrivals with your name. He knows the house, which matters at the end of the journey: we are on a lane set back from the main Matara road. A metered taxi from the airport rank costs more and takes the same time.

What it costs
Message us with your flight and how many of you there are, and you will get a price back. Payment is cash in rupees, like everything else here — there is no card machine and nothing is taken in advance.

Landing at night
Check-in runs to 23:30 and someone is always awake. If your flight lands after midnight, message us — we will leave the gate open rather than have you sleep in the airport.
Koggala
The airstrip at Koggala is 21 km away. If you are coming in on a domestic flight, tell us and we will arrange the car to meet you there instead.
The train, if you have the time
The coastal line from Colombo Fort to Weligama runs along the sand for the last hour and is one of the great train rides in Asia. Get off at Weligama; we are fifteen minutes away from there. Reserve a seat if you can, the unreserved carriages fill up.
